ASIC Annual Forum program announced, limited registrations remain

ASIC has released the full program for the ASIC Annual Forum and dinner to be held on 14–15 November 2024 in Sydney.

The event brings together leading business, regulatory and consumer representatives to consider the financial challenges that impact our diverse nation under the theme Bridging generations: Regulating for all Australians.

This year’s Forum includes presentations and panels featuring:

Danielle Wood, Productivity Commission Chair, providing an introduction to the Forum theme
Michele Bullock, Reserve Bank of Australia Governor, Dr Raphael Arndt, Future Fund CEO, Vicki Brady, Telstra CEO and Joe Longo, ASIC Chair, on the state of the economy
Sarah Court, ASIC Deputy Chair, announcing our 2025 enforcement priorities in conversation with Raelene Sharp KC, Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions, and Reece Kershaw APM, Australian Federal Police Commissioner
Meet the regulators panel with Joe Longo, Gina Cass-Gottlieb, ACCC Chair, John Lonsdale, APRA Chair, and Brendan Thomas, AUSTRAC Chair
Lieutenant General Michelle McGuinness CSC, National Cyber Security Coordinator, on scams and cyber threats, and
Peter Warne, UniSuper Non-Executive Director, on the impact of superannuation on evolving markets.
Mr Longo said, ‘This year’s Forum explores some of the most pressing issues facing us as consumers, investors and as a society.

‘Our diverse program of speakers will consider how consumer expectations are changing in a time of cost-of-living pressures, market volatility, geopolitical instability, and rapid technological innovation.’
